About Daily Driver

Daily Driver is a community marketplace, wood-fired organic bagel bakery, creamery, and roastery.

Joining forces with Hadley and David Kreitz, David Jablons and Tamara Hicks brought Daily Driver to life, harboring a desire to bring nourishing, quality versions of the products they longed for in San Francisco. David K. and Hadley perfected the design and recipes while David J. and Tamara scouted and planned, watching innovative change come to the neighboring Dogpatch community. Unlike the rapid gentrification of many SF neighborhoods, these changes brought new space for makers and artists.

The family-owned American Industrial Center (AIC) in SF has welcomed and supported makers for over 30 years. When David K.’s boiled, wood-fired bagels were first paired with Hadley’s cultured butter and the creamery’s organic cream cheese, they all knew that a wholesale/retail space was essential—and no setting could be more perfect than the AIC.

In a 7,200 square foot garment reconstruction workshop, they underwent a year and a half tenant improvement project, completely repurposing the space to include the first urban creamery in San Francisco, a full service kitchen, an exposed open floor plan bagel bakery, a coffee roastery and a 2700 square foot mezzanine for patrons.

We're not the only ones who love Daily Driver

“The bagels will be hand-rolled, boiled, and wood-fired every morning, and they have a crunchy, crackly exterior (so satisfying to bite into) and soft interior, with a developed flavor.” – Table Hopper

“The bagels are chewy with good crunch on the outside, wood-fired fresh every morning, and come with things like lox and homemade cheese.” – The Infatuation

The Best Bagels Are in California (Sorry, New York) – The New York Times
